How Do I View, Edit, and Add Timesheets?

How Can I View Timesheets in Timeero?

Viewing timesheets allows you to review logged hours, job assignments, mileage, and notes. This can be done from both the web dashboard and mobile app, helping you keep track of work activity in real time.

Viewing Timesheets on the Web

  1. Log in to your Timeero Web Dashboard.
  2. Click Timesheets in the left-hand menu.
  3. Use the filter options to search by user, date range, or job.
  4. Click on any entry to see details such as clock-in and clock-out times, job information, mileage, and notes.

Viewing Timesheets on the Mobile App

  1. Open the Timeero mobile app.
  2. Tap Timesheets at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select the date range or user you want to view.
  4. Tap on a timesheet entry to view its details.
  5. Admins and managers assigned to a group, on the entries tab will see 2 filters to toggle through "All" & "Mine" as to which timesheets they want to view. 

How Do I Edit a Timesheet Entry?

Timesheets can be edited to fix errors like missing clock-out times, incorrect job assignments, or mileage adjustments. Only users with the right permissions can edit timesheets.

Editing a Timesheet on the Web

  1. Navigate to Timesheets in the dashboard.
  2. Locate the entry you want to edit.
  3. Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  4. Adjust details such as start and end time, job, or mileage.
  5. Click Save to update the entry.

Editing a Timesheet on the Mobile App

  1. Open the Timesheets tab.
  2. Tap the entry you want to change.
  3. Tap Edit in the top-right corner.
  4. Update the necessary fields.
  5. Tap Save to confirm your changes.

Important Note

Only admins and managers can edit other users’ timesheets. Employees can edit their own entries only if granted permission by an admin.


How Do I Manually Add a Timesheet Entry?

If an employee forgets to clock in or out, you can add a timesheet manually to keep payroll records complete and accurate.

Adding a Timesheet on the Web

  1. From the dashboard, go to Timesheets.
  2. Click + Add Timesheet.
  3. Select the employee, date, start time, end time, and job.
  4. Add mileage or notes if needed.
  5. Click Save to create the new entry.

Adding a Timesheet on the Mobile App

  1. Tap Timesheets.
  2. Tap the + (plus) icon.
  3. Fill in all required fields (time, job, and date).
  4. Add optional details like mileage or notes.
  5. Tap Save to add the timesheet.


FAQs

Can employees edit their own timesheets?

Employees and managers can only edit timesheets if the admin has enabled this permission. If not, only admins can make edits.

How do I find older timesheets?

Use the filter options to adjust the date range or select the user or job. This makes it easy to locate past entries.

Can I delete a timesheet?

Yes. Admins can delete a timesheet from the web dashboard by clicking the red trash can / Delete icon.

Do edits appear in reports right away?

Yes. All changes are updated in real time and will appear immediately when you generate a new report.

Can I export timesheets for payroll?

Yes. Timesheets can be exported from the Reports page as a CSV file or sent to payroll systems like Gusto or QuickBooks.
