Running, Filtering & Exporting Reports

Filtering Report ResultsExporting Reports

To begin running reports, log into your admin web portal and navigate to the Reports tab on the left. Once on the Reports page, pick the type of report you want. If you're not sure, you can find a list of our basic report types here.

Now that you have picked your report, you'll need to fill in the requested information. For most this will just be a date range, but some reports will also ask you for a specific user, group, job or task.

After all your selections are made, click Generate Report. Depending on how much information you're trying to create a report for, it may take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.

If your report times out, try shortening your date range or selecting fewer employees/jobs to include in the report.

You should now have a list of every timesheet that is within the date range that you selected. Most reports will also give you totals for each employee that had a timesheet within those dates, but it will vary depending on the type of report you are running.

You will also notice that you can make adjustments to timesheets if needed for corrections from this page. Simply click the blue pencil icon to the right of the timesheet that needs to be modified and it will take you to the page to make those changes. Any changes made will be notated in the timesheet itself under "Activity History" so that they can be reviewed or reverted, if needed.

Filtering Reports

Depending on the number of employees or the size of your date range for the report you are running, it may be necessary to filter a report to show only specific data. You could do this by exporting the report first and then using a spreadsheet program to sort it out, but you can also filter within the report window.

  1. Select your desired report, make your selections and then generate the report.
  2. Check the box next to every line item you would like to filter separately.
  3. Click the blue Filter button on the pop up window at the bottom of the screen.
  4. A new window will generate (this may take a moment depending on how much you are filtering), and show only the selected information.

Filtered information can only be exported as a CSV or PDF, it cannot be exported to a Payroll Integration. If you need to export more specific information, you may need to use a different report type.

Exporting Reports

All of our reports can be exported to a CSV or PDF file by clicking on the Export button located just below the "Generate Report" button you used earlier.

If you have set up one of our Payroll Integrations then you may have additional options to export Time and/or Mileage directly.

For more information about Payroll Integrations, check out this page here.
