How Does Auto Clock in/out Work?

When Auto Clock in/out is turned on, you are clocked in and out at the time you enter or exit the geofence. 

  • The app will wait for you to be within the geofence for 2 minutes before clocking you in, but your clock in time will reflect the actual time you entered the geofence. 
    • If you leave the geofence before those 2 minutes are up, no clock-in will occur. 
  • When you leave a geofence, the app will wait approximately 1 minute before clocking you out. 
    • If you return within that window, you will remain clocked in. 
  • You will receive push notifications letting you know you have been clocked in or out. 

What should I do to Ensure I am Automatically Clocked In and Out?

  • Stay logged into the mobile app.  Logging in and out may change the app settings.
  • Before heading to work each day, open the mobile app.  Remember, the app has to be running in the background.  It's common for users to force close the app after their work day, the night before.
  • Confirm your tracker checklist is at 100%.
  • Confirm that the app is set to allow location always. The app needs to be able to run in the background in order to recognize when you have entered a geofence and clock you in. 

How Does Auto Clock in/out Work if I Have Custom Fields?

  • Jobs that require custom fields at clock-in or clock-out will no longer auto-clock.

  • Instead, you will receive a "Complete additional info to clock in" or "Complete additional info to clock out" notification to open the app and fill in the required fields.

  • Once you have filled out the required fields, you will be clocked in.
