How to set up the MCP for Cursor and Other IDEs

Learn how to connect Cursor or another remote MCP Client to Timeero.

*Any client that supports remote HTTP MCP can use Timeero MCP with the same endpoint and authorize flow - including Cursor and similar IDEs.

 

How do I Connect Cursor or Another Remote MCP Client?

  1. In your client, add a remote / HTTP MCP server.
  2. Use URL https://mcp.timeero.com/mcp.
  3. Complete authentication when prompted - paste your Timeero Public API key on the Timeero connect page.
  4. Choose write/delete permissions on the authorize screen, then allow access.
  5. Start a new chat/agent session so tools load.

 

What Can I do After Connecting?

  • Reports - employee summary; time/mileage by user, group, job, task, date range, or mileage (max 366 days)
  • Users & groups - list/create/update employees, who is clocked in, group membership
  • Jobs & tasks - list/create/update/delete
  • Timesheets - list, create/update, clock in/out, approve, delete
  • Schedules & breaks - list, create, publish, delete (schedule lists max 30 days)
  • Other data - custom fields, GPS for a timesheet, time off (max 30 days)
