How to Set up the MCP for Claude

What do I Need to do Before I Start?
- Have your Public API key ready from Integrations → Public API → Configuration.
- MCP URL: https://mcp.timeero.com/mcp.
How do I Add to Claude?
Click Add to Claude to open Claude with Timeero prefilled, then:
- When prompted, paste your Timeero Public API key and click Connect.
- On the authorize screen, choose whether Claude may write and/or delete Timeero data. Read access is always included.
- Click Allow access, return to Claude, and start asking questions.
How do I Add Timeero from Connectors?
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors (or claude.ai/customize/connectors).
- Add a custom connector named Timeero.
- Set the URL to https://mcp.timeero.com/mcp, then click Add.
- Click Connect on the Timeero connector.
- Paste your Public API key and click Connect.
- On the authorize screen, choose whether Claude may write and/or delete Timeero data, then click Allow access. Read access is always included.
What do I do Once Connected?
Try it out with one of the following prompts:
- “List my Timeero employees”
- “Who is currently clocked in?”
- “Summarize how Jane is doing this week.”
*Approve any tool prompts Claude shows. Leave write and delete unchecked if you only want answers.
