How to Delete a Message

Who Can Delete a Message?

  • Anyone can delete a single message. 

  • Anyone with permission to Manage Groups can delete group conversations. 

*Only group conversations can be deleted. One on one conversations cannot be deleted. 

 

How Can I Delete a Conversation On the Web Portal?

  1. Go to the Messaging Tab.

  2. Hover over the name of the chat you want to delete.

  3. Click on the three dots.

  4. Select Delete Chat.

  5. You will see a warning message asking you to confirm. If you wish to proceed, hit Delete. 

*Once you delete a conversation, it cannot be retrieved. This is a permanent action. 

 

How Can I Delete a Conversation On the Mobile App?

  1. Select the conversation you want to delete.

  2. Select the initials in the top right corner of the screen. 

  3. Select Delete Conversation. 

 

How Do I Delete a Single Message on the Web Portal?

  1. Hover over the message that you want to delete.

  2. Click on the three dots. 

  3. Select Delete. 

*Anyone with access to the conversation will be able to see that you deleted a message, but the message itself will no longer be visible. 

 

How Do I Delete a Single Message on the Mobile App?

  1. Press and hold on the message you want to delete.

  2. Select Delete Message from the menu that appears. 

  3. Select OK to confirm.
