Exporting Specific Timesheets to Gusto

Learn How to:

  • Export timesheets from Timeero to Gusto either automatically when users clock out (if automatic export is enabled) or manually by an admin.

How Do I Turn on Exporting Specific Timesheets to Gusto From Timeero?

  1. Navigate to Company Settings → Integration Settings → Gusto.
  2. Configure:
    • Active/Inactive: Status of the integration(only for timesheet export)
    • Groups: Choose which users will have their timesheets exported
    • Sync Type: Manual or Automatic

If your Timeero account was connected to Gusto before April 8th, 2026, you will need to Disconnect the Gusto Integration in Timeero and then reconnect in order for this function to work.

What Does the Automatic Export do?

  • When automatic export is enabled, timesheets are sent to Gusto as soon as the user clocks out.

How Do I Use the Manual Export Option?

If you choose the Manual sync type in your Integration Settings, you will need to export the timesheets manually.

  1. Admins go to Reports → Export Timesheets Report in Timeero.
  2. Select the specific timesheet(s) to export.
  3. Click Sync → Submit.

Where Can I find Exported Timesheets in Gusto?

  • Navigate to Gusto → Time & Attendance → Time Tracking.
  • If a timesheet spans multiple days, it will appear under the date the user clocked in.
    • Example: Clock-in on Feb 16, 11:00 PM → Clock-out Feb 17, 6:00 AM → Total duration will appear under Feb 16.
  • Gusto displays clock-in, clock-out, and duration for each entry.

Individual timesheets for Contractors can be sent over to Gusto, however, once in Gusto, they cannot be imported to the payroll section smoothly. They will still have to be managed manually within Gusto.
