Message Blast: Direct Employee Messaging

  • Send fast, one way announcements to specific employees or groups and track who received and engaged with each message.  

* Only users with the Admin or Manager role can send out messages. 

* Users cannot reply to messages.  This is a read-only system.

 

How do I Send a Message Blast? 

1. Log into the web portal

2. Select Message Blast

3. Select New Message


4. You can choose to send a message to your entire team or a select few team members

5. Add a Title and a Message

6. Click the Send Message button


Once a message is sent, your recipients will get notified if they have the Timeero app on their smartphone. (If they have push notification enabled on their iPhone or Android.)

 

How do I view Sent & Received Messages?

  1. Log into the web portal
  2. Select Message Blast
  3. Choose the Received tab to view received messages
  4. Choose the Sent tab to view sent messages

 

How do you know who read your message?

  1. Log into the web portal
  2. Select the Message Blast page
  3. Select Sent Messages
  4. You will see the time and date the message was sent and read count information
  5. Click on the Title (in blue) 
  6. Here you can use the dropdown to see who read your message and who did not read it

 

How does your team view your messages?

Users must be logged into the mobile app to receive messages and view them. There is an Announcements icon inside the mobile app.  Messages highlighted in blue represent an unread message.

FAQs 

What if an employee is logged out or has notifications turned off?

If an employee is logged out of the Timeero mobile app or has push notifications disabled, they will not receive a push alert when you send a Message Blast. However, the message will still appear in the Announcements section of the app the next time they log in. 

How often should I use the message blast? 

Just depends on what you want to communicate with your team. Recommend for key schedule changes, safety or policy updates, and critical reminders. 

Can employees see old Message Blasts later?

Yes. As long as the message has not been removed by your admin, employees can see past Message Blasts in the Announcements section.
