Configuring Messaging Settings
How Do I Configure the Messaging Settings?
- Go to Company Settings.
- Scroll down and toggle on Enable Messaging.
- Hit Save at the bottom of the page.
- Select Messaging Settings on the left hand side of your screen.
- Select which users (admins, managers, employees) can access messaging and the different features.
- Hit Save at the bottom of the page.
*Options for each setting are filtered by which users were granted permission on the above settings. Users who do not have permission to access the setting above will not be an option for the bottom settings.
What Does Each Setting Do?
- Who can access messaging determines which users will have permission to send and receive messages.
- Who can start messaging with team members determines which users can start a new direct message to another team member.
- Who can create groups determines which users can start a new group message.
- Who can manage groups determines which users can add and remove users from existing group messages.
*Only Admins and Managers will be able to delete groups messages/ channels.
*You cannot use Message Blast and Messaging at the same time. If both are turned on, Message Blast will be hidden.

Groups let you message multiple people in one conversation. Instead of sending the same message to several people individually, you can create a group where everyone can see and respond to the same chat.
