Company Notifications Settings

Learn how to configure notifications for both your supervisors and staff to help keep everyone on time!

  • Use notification settings to keep admins informed of late-clock ins or clocking out of bounds.

  • Enable shift and clock in/out reminders for employees so, to keep everyone on schedule.

To find these settings go to Company Settings by clicking the orange gear icon in the upper right side of the web portal. Then, select the Notifications submenu.

Notify admin if user clocks out of bounds - via mobile push notification: This will send an alert to all admin on the account when a user clocks in or out, outside of a geofence.

Notify all users of a new or updated shift - via email/push notification: These settings let your users know whenever you assign a new schedule to them, if you're using our scheduling features. Learn more about scheduling here.

Notify when a user goes overtime - via email and mobile push notification: This will alert all admin on the account when a user reaches the threshold specified for this specific setting's daily overtime amount.

Clock out a user after they exceed a certain number of hours: If your users sometimes have trouble remembering to clock out, you can set this number to automatically clock them out once they reach that threshold.

Set this number to be greater than the number of hours any of your employees might reasonably work, so that they don't get clocked out while they're still working.

Notify admin and managers about lake clock-ins - via email:
Turning this on will send an alert to all admin and managers (assigned to the same group as the user) whenever an employee has not clocked in 10 minutes after their scheduled start time. Schedules must be created for this setting to work.

Send reminder to clock in/out: When using Schedules this will send a mobile or email alert to your employee about their upcoming scheduled shift, so that they don't forget to clock in.

FAQ's

Who receives these notifications?

Geofence, overtime, and out-of-bounds alerts are sent to all admins, and in some cases managers who are assigned to the same group as the user. Shift and clock in/out reminders are sent directly to the scheduled employee.

Do I need schedules for late clock-in and clock in/out reminders to work?

Yes. Late clock-in alerts and clock in/out reminders rely on a schedule, so you’ll need to create shifts for your employees first.
